Introduction to the Color

Green is the color of nature. It symbolizes growth, harmony, and freshness. Green is also thought to relieve stress and help heal. It is the most restful color for the human eye; it can improve vision. No wonder, green is often used in decorating for its calming effect. It is a natural choice in interior design as an ideal background or backdrop because we as humans are so used to seeing it everywhere.

Green and Its Alter Egos

From sources we’ve gathered, we found out that olive green is the traditional color of peace. Grass green is the color of money. It represents self-confident and secure. Jade green indicates a generosity of spirit, giving without expecting anything in return. Emerald green is an inspiring and uplifting color suggesting abundance and wealth in all its forms, from material wellbeing, to emotional wellbeing to creative ideas. Aqua is associated with emotional healing and protection. Lastly, lime green is a color that inspires youthfulness, naivety and playfulness.

The Ways to Love Green

Playing with the color green is not as hard as you might think it’d be. If you’re bold enough to try all green from head to toe, that’s great! Different materials will help you stand out even more. For example, putting on a green knitwear with green chino, or green tweed jacket with green khakis. When you wear all green from head to toe, it’d be great to mix different shades of green so your outfit won’t look one dimensional.

One of our favorite colors to be mixed with green is pink! It sounds so unexpected but you guess it… it also creates an unexpected impact! With green as a cool color and pink is a warm color, they actually balance each other out pretty well. Our favorite combinations are dusty pink with grass green, salmon with emerald green, and magenta with lime green.
