Ultra Violet of Pantone 18-3838! Yay!

If you have always been a big fan of everything purple or ultraviolet, then this year is going to be your year!

Executive director of the institute offered her insight by saying “ From exploring new technologies and the greater galaxy, to artistic expression and spiritual reflection, intuitive ultra violet lights the way to what is yet to come.”

Pantone Color Institute also furthers explains the purpose of the color selection each year. In the word of Laurie Pressman, vice president of PCI, “ The Pantone color of the year has come to mean so much more than ‘what’s trending’ in the world of design; it’s truly a reflection of what’s needed in our world today.”

It is her hope that Ultraviolet 18-388 continues to spark inventiveness, imagination and creativity. And true to her words, we are already seeing many designs in various creative fields that are starting to feel inspired by the chic and contemporary Ultra Violet, including in fashion, makeup industry, interior design and others.

Our tip with ultraviolet is to take it slow and apply it gradually into your whole look. Start with one item, instead of going all ultraviolet – maybe purple eye shadow for your look, a subtle hair color, a cute purple tote until you are feeling it and ready to go all ultraviolet trendy.

Good luck girls!
